Quick and Easy Apple Tart

Ingredients:

1. 1 package puff pastry sheets, thawed, each cut in half
2. 4 apples, cored, halved, and sliced very thin
3. 2/3 c. brown sugar
4. 2 teaspoons Apple Pie Spice
5. 2 teaspoons from Olives & Grapes All Natural Butter Flavored Olive Oil
6. 2 teaspoons from Olives & Grapes Cinnamon Pear Dark Balsamic Vinegar
7. 1 pinch salt
8. 2 teaspoons cornstarch
9. Powdered sugar, caramel sauce, and/or whipped cream, for serving (optional)

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
2. Place the puff pastry rectangles onto 2 baking pans that have been sprayed with nonstick spray.
3. Mix all ingredients with apples.
4. Stir to combine.
5. Allow to sit for a few minutes.
6. Arrange the apple slices on the pastry rectangles in a straight line, overlapping as you go.
7. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
8. Remove from the pan immediately and place on a serving platter.
9. Serve plain or with caramel topping, whipped cream, and/or a sprinkling of powdered sugar.
